Yes. The Helm Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization. Your donation supports individuals in recovery by removing financial barriers to housing, treatment, transportation, and essentials.
Are my donations tax-deductible? ⌄
Yes. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a confirmation email and receipt for your records after giving.
Where does my donation go? ⌄
Funds are paid directly to the service provider (e.g., sober house, treatment facility, transportation, licensing office) supporting the person in need. No cash is given directly to individuals, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Does Helm take an administrative fee? ⌄
Helm operates with minimal overhead so that the vast majority of each gift goes straight to meeting critical needs that sustain recovery.
Will there be an annual report? ⌄
Yes. An annual report detailing distributions and impact will be published on our website each year for donor transparency.
Are you affiliated with detox/rehab centers? ⌄
No. Helm is independent and does not receive financial benefits from any detox, rehab, or treatment center. Our only mission is connecting people with the right, local resources for sustained recovery.
